Our approach blends catalytic grants, patient capital, and institutional investment into a continuum that de-risks early-stage work while scaling long-term returns. One lever in this strategy is the Urban Reboot nonprofit, which distributes catalytic grants for early feasibility and pre-development. Another is the Urban Reboot Initiative (URI) Fund 1, now in formation as a likely for-profit evergreen fund with modest expectations for financial return but high expectations for impact. Together with other blended capital mechanisms, these tools ensure that Now City can unlock projects early and prepare them for institutional-grade investment.
